Everything went their way against the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals as they made off with an 8-2 win. Heidi Peterson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bailey Toscano was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Hardaway, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
All S lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
