The Oglesby Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Aquilla Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Oglesby will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Last Tuesday, Oglesby got the win against Jonesboro by a conclusive 18-3. Considering the Tigers have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Camden Webb made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Oglesby's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Callen Webb, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Hunter Ewing also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aquilla). They put the hurt on Gholson with a sharp 19-5 victory on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with Gholson recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Oglesby, Aquilla also got a great game from a two-way player: Ryan Hill. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Hill was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Mason Cockrell was a standout: he scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Rayce Yrios was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
Aquilla kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Oglesby pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Aquilla, their record is now 9-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Oglesby has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Aquilla struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
