MIDDLETOWN, N.J. - the Vikings scored 16 points in the second quarter to secure a big 28-0 victory over
Middletown North (Middletown, N.J.) on Saturday.
South Brunswick scored on two rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including two by
TJ Taylor.
After taking the lead on a Taylor touchdown run in the first quarter, SB led 22-0 at the half.
Taylor was the top performer for the Monmouth Junction school. The senior ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Vikings entered the contest giving up 20.2 points per game this year.
The loss comes after Middletown North defeated Marlboro 27-13 last week.
Middletown North (1-5) will play a Shore - North A game against Howell next week, while South Brunswick (6-1) will take on Sayreville in a Greater Middlesex - Red game.
