It was a good run, but  the Griffin Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Baldwin 69-40. Griffin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  34-10.
 Griffin lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Camiya Starks, who  scored ten points along with six  assists and five  steals. Starks hasn't dropped below two  steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was  Bella Daniel, who  scored eight points.
 Baldwin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kassidy Neal, who  scored 18 points along with six  rebounds. Neal hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  JaMya Easley, who  scored ten points along with four  steals.
 Griffin's loss  ended  a  seven-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 13-8. As for Baldwin, their victory was  their eighth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 19-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Griffin won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against the Panthers at 2:00  p.m.  on January 27th. Southwest DeKalb has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 225 points over their last three matches. As for Baldwin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seminoles at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Westside will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Braves are ranked 17th).
