The Arcanum Trojans can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 49-22 win over Franklin Monroe. Given Arcanum's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Jets are ranked 622nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Arcanum to victory were Brooke Anderson and Alexis Gibbons. Anderson scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Gibbons scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matty Noe, who scored six points along with two steals.
Arcanum's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Franklin Monroe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcanum's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Thunderbolts at 7:15 p.m. on February 5th. As for Franklin Monroe, they will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
