The Madison Jaguars fell victim to the Oak Grove Tigers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. Madison just can't catch a break and has now endured five losses in a row.
Oak Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brodie Stuart led the charge by gaining 95 total yards and two touchdowns. Jay Freeman was in the mix as well, providing Oak Grove with two touchdowns.
Madison's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Oak Grove, Mangham, and Abramson. As for Oak Grove, the victory was the fifth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Madison will head out on the road to face off against Vidalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vidalia is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Oak Grove, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against General Trass at 7:00 p.m. General Trass will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Oak Grove is ranked 41st).
