The Continental Pirates are taking a road trip to  take on the Ottoville Big Green  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Continental is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game  this season.
On Monday, Continental sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-5  win over Lima Central Catholic.

 Gracie Homier made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  triple. That  home run marked the first that  she  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Maeci Dockery was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  triple was  her first of the season.  Cassie Pier was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Ottoville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They lost  22-0 to Jefferson.
 The  victory  got Continental back to even at 3-3. As for Ottoville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Everything went Continental's way against Ottoville when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, as Continental made off with  a  16-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
