Rogers is 2-8 against Puyallup since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rams will challenge the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Rogers is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Rogers easily dispatched Curtis on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Rams fell just short of Sumner by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rams have suffered since April 1, 2024.

Sierra Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sam Mitchell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Puyallup's offense. They fell just short of Emerald Ridge by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.
Puyallup saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paisley Jamison, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Jamison has hit this season.
Puyallup's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-7. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Rogers, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 17-2.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rogers has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. However, it's not like Puyallup struggles in that department as they've averaged .476. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rogers came out on top in a nail-biter against Puyallup when the teams last played last Tuesday, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
