The Agoura Chargers's four-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They took down Granada Hills Charter 61-42. The victory was all the more spectacular given Agoura's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 466th, while Granada Hills Charter is ranked 181st).
Agoura was led to victory by DJ Jacob and Elai Segev. Jacob scored 16 points along with six rebounds, while Segev scored 16 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lukas Friedlander, who scored seven points.
Agoura's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Granada Hills Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.
Agoura's road trip will continue as they head out to face Grant at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully Grant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday. Granada Hills Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Genevieve at 4:30 p.m. on December 19th.
