If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for McPherson. They will be playing at home against Augusta at at 7:00 PM on Friday. McPherson are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Augusta are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
McPherson took the contest and then some with a 46-7 victory last Friday over Buhler. Followers of McPherson probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
Meanwhile, Augusta received a tough blow as they fell 17-35 to Winfield. Augusta were down by 10-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Everything came up roses for McPherson against Augusta the last time the two teams met as the squad secured a 40-0 win. Will McPherson repeat their success, or does Augusta have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
