St. Mary lost against the Sterling Classical Soldiers on January 12th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. St. Mary's suffered a tough 49-27 defeat at the hands of the Soldiers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Mary's in their matchups with the Soldiers: they've now lost three in a row.
St. Mary's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tyler Zimmerhanzel, who scored 13 points. That was a full 48.1% of St. Mary's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Altman, who scored six points.
St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Sterling Classical, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
St. Mary's will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the at 6:00 p.m. Sterling Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
