The Langford Lions lost against the Lemmon Cowboys back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Langford was dealt a 61-21 defeat at the hands of Lemmon. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Langford has scored all season.
Leading Lemmon to victory were Jordyn Kohn and Allie Kohn. Kohn scored nine points along with ten steals and five assists, while Kohn scored 22 points along with eight assists and three steals. The game was Kohn's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaedyn Byre, who scored 15 points.
Langford's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.8 points per game. As for Lemmon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Langford will look to defend their home court on January 5th against Herreid/Selby at 8:30 p.m. Lemmon won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Newell at 1:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023.
