Basketball Recap: Lafayette Has No Trouble Against Bruton

Lafayette won the last time they faced Bruton and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Lafayette Rams' way against the Bruton Panthers as the Lafayette Rams made off with a 56-34 win. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

MaKayla Keys was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Sarah Lynch, who posted 11 points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Lafayette was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lafayette and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Bruton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Lafayette has already played their next contest (against New Kent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bruton Panthers face off against the Warhill Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warhill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
