Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clayton). Everything went their way against the Paulsboro Red Raiders on Friday as they made off with a 14-3 win. The Clippers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024 (when they won 12-0).
Justin Delaney was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Tice, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
The victory made it two in a row for Clayton and bumps their season record up to 7-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Paulsboro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clayton will square off against Woodstown at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Paulsboro, they will face off against Overbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
