Eastern Alamance (Mebane, N.C.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 12 fourth quarter points to seal the 35-13 victory over
Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, N.C.).
After taking the lead on a
John Lamont touchdown run in the second quarter, the Eagles led 16-7 at the half.
Eastern Alamance expanded its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. EA scored once in the quarter on a
Malcom Summers touchdown run.
The Mebane school came into the game allowing 17.2 points per game. The 13 points that the Rams ended with were above their average of 8.2 coming into the game.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Northeast Guilford. The win brought Eastern Alamance's winning streak to three games.
