On Saturday, Hozho Academy took a serious blow against Laguna Acoma, falling 60-14. Hozho Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-8.
Leading Laguna Acoma to victory were Devin LittleWolf and Derek Victorino jr.. LittleWolf gained 93 total yards and two touchdowns, while Victorino jr. threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns.
Hozho Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Shiprock and 1-9 Capitan (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31.7% over those games). As for Laguna Acoma, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Hozho Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Laguna Acoma also has no future games currently scheduled.
