The Talawanda Brave will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Clermont Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but Talawanda had to settle for a 53-50 loss against the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Talawanda can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 731st, while the Wildcats are ranked 354th).
Meanwhile, West Clermont's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 71-41 loss at the hands of Winton Woods.
Rayshawn Hubbard put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 15 points. That was a full 36.6% of West Clermont's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Brock-Sanderfer, who scored nine points.
Talawanda dropped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for West Clermont, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
Talawanda couldn't quite finish off the Wolves in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 66-63. Will Talawanda have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
