The Springfield Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northlake Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Loss or not, Springfield got some senior leadership from Tobias McGee and Caden Dykes. McGee scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals, while Dykes. scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Robert Culbertson was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Springfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Northlake Christian, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will take on the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northlake Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
