While the Reeltown Rebels couldn't quite beat the Beulah Bobcats on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 24-point loss they were dealt last Tuesday. Reeltown fell just short of Beulah by a score of 38-36. Reeltown was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Beulah apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Friday.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amelia Nicholas, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of London O'Neal, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Reeltown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Reeltown's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Beulah, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Reeltown will be playing at home against Elmore County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Elmore County is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Beulah, they will head out on the road to take on Beauregard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
