White Oak's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Jacksonville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
White Oak will finish 2023 at home by hosting Richlands at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richlands will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 471st, while White Oak is ranked 119th). Jacksonville is on the road again on Thursday and play against Lejeune at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Lejeune is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
