2A District 4 recap October 1, 2013
Victory Christian Academy moved up to 243 from 279 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A District 4. The Storm climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Crescent City 47-34.
Agape Christian Academy lost to Glades Day 26-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Victory Christian Academy's Caleb Lewis and Nekari Jones have proven to be a lethal combination. Lewis has thrown for 850 yards this season, while Jones, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 32 catches for 340 yards. Gabriel Walker from Foundation Academy leads the league in rushing with 445 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Tommy Lewis' team takes on the Saints. At the moment, the Storm are in first, while Agape Christian Academy is in third.
Victory Christian Academy made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,353 from 5,165. The improvement was the result of a 47-34 victory over the Raiders last week.
