Orion has gone 7-1 against Hall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chargers will face off against the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. Orion is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Things were looking good for Orion after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 14-5 to Sterling.
Avah Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Khloe Nelson, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hall). They put the hurt on Fieldcrest with a sharp 20-5 win on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their 13-game losing streak.
Brynn Blair made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Blair was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hall got a massive performance out of Caroline Morris, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Morris has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Haven Rossi, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Hall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Hall's record now sits at 5-23. As for Orion, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-23.
Everything went Orion's way against Hall in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Orion made off with a 15-1 win. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
