Farragut is a perfect 5-0 against Grace Christian Academy since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Elsa Morrison made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Audrey Ginel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian Academy got the win against Concord Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 18-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Grace Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Hayden Hill, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hill has posted since back in April of 2024. Katherine Mullins also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Grace Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .605 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Farragut's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7-1. As for Grace Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Farragut hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Grace Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .441. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Farragut took their win against Grace Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score.
