Football Recap: Boulder City Skates Past Western with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southeast Career Tech, Boulder City was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They breezed by the Western Warriors to the tune of 40-6. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Noelle Payne was her usual excellent self, rushing for 101 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Makayla Nelson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Boulder City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nelson and Payton Rogers.

Boulder City pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points per game. As for Western, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Boulder City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 52-22 win against Valley on the 10th. Western has also already played their next contest, a 43-7 defeat against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon on the 10th.
