The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coolidge in their matchups with Fairfax Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Coolidge had strong showings from Quintin Cooper, who scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds, and Elimeen Carter, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Turner, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Coolidge struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fairfax Christian racked up 23.
Fairfax Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Mostashari, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Skinn, who scored 6 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Fairfax Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Coolidge will square off against Virginia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Virginia Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.7 points per game.
