The Hamilton Lions lost against the Nanih Waiya Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hamilton took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nanih Waiya. It was the first time this season that Hamilton let down their fans at home.
Nanih Waiya's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nyshea Hoskin, who scored 23 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hoskin has scored at least 25% of Nanih Waiya's points. Another player making a difference was Alexzandria Eiland, who scored 13 points.
Hamilton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3. As for Nanih Waiya, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Eupora the next time they take the court. Hamilton will host Eupora at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Nanih Waiya will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
