Mattanawcook extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Kooper McCarthy. The Mattanawcook Lynx blew past the Calais Blue Devils 67-42 on Friday thanks in part to McCarthy, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Another player making a difference was James Trott, who posted seven points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Mattanawcook's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.5 points. As for Calais, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Mattanawcook will venture away from home to take on Lee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mattanawcook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.2 points per game this season. As for Calais, they will welcome Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Woodland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
