Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Skates Past Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter with Ease

Covenant Christian won the last time they faced Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Covenant Christian Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders 62-30. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 27 points or more this season.

Covenant Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Moriah Armstrong, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Elin Mattick also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first board of the season.

Covenant Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter only posted four assists.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter had strong showings from Lilly Butler, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, and Zita Eke, who scored nine points and five boards. Butler has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Macie Dill was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Covenant Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
