The Mission Viejo Diablos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Dana Hills, falling  82-52. While losing is never fun, Mission Viejo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 570th, while Dana Hills is ranked 37th).
 Despite the  loss, Mission Viejo had strong showings from  Alexander Frost, who  scored 12 points along with nine  rebounds, and  Bradey Farzley, who  scored ten points. Frost is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's  played.
 Mission Viejo  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only four  assists. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Dana Hills  racked up 25  assists.
  Collin Haugh continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dana Hills,  going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. Haugh has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 15 times he's  played.  Logan Scodeller was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points along with nine  assists and four  steals.
 Mission Viejo's defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Dana Hills, the  win was  the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.
 Mission Viejo will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against Aliso Niguel at 7:00  p.m. One thing working in Aliso Niguel's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last three contests. As for Dana Hills, they will head out on the road to  challenge  El Toro at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
