The Coolidge Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 80-26 win over Globe at home. Coolidge has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.
Coolidge found their leader in underclassman Alaysia White, who dropped a triple-double on 32 points, 20 rebounds, and 14 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Jade Rodgers was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Coolidge, bringing their record for this year to 12-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Globe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Coolidge will be playing in front of their home fans against Florence at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Florence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Thursday. As for Globe, they will head out on the road to face off against American Leadership Academy - Ironwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Leadership Academy - Ironwood and Globe are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
