Basketball Recap: Winlock's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Winlock unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 58-39 fall against the Rainier Mountaineers. The Cardinals lost against the Mountaineers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 71-27 score last time.

Winlock now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Rainier, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

When Winlock and Rainier next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Winlock will try to stop Napavine's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rainier will face off against Toledo and their seven-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
