Lapeer Lakers Homeschool is ranked highly in their home state and   on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Wabash Valley HomeSchool. The Lapeer Lakers Homeschool Lakers enjoyed a cozy  62-48 win over the Wabash Valley HomeSchool Warriors. The  victory was nothing new for the Lakers as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Lapeer Lakers Homeschool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Reed Cotton, who  went 8 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points. Those eight  threes gave  Cotton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aiden Lomasney, who  went 8 for 18 en route to 23 points plus five  rebounds.
 Lapeer Lakers Homeschool was working as a unit and  finished the game with 17  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wabash Valley HomeSchool only racked up ten.
 Wabash Valley HomeSchool's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Gavin Sutton, who  posted 15 points plus six  assists and five  rebounds. Sutton's evening made it five games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points.  Brayden Wallace was another key player,  scoring 11 points plus seven  rebounds and three  steals.
 Lapeer Lakers Homeschool's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at five games  and leaves them with a 8-4 record.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lapeer Lakers Homeschool has  already played their next  match (against Wabash Valley HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northside L at 7:00  p.m.  on January 17, 2025.
