The Anthony Wayne Generals stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past Clay 80-21 at home. The victory was nothing new for Anthony Wayne as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Anthony Wayne was led to victory by Leah Pike and Elise Bender. Pike scored 18 points along with four steals, while Bender scored 25 points along with six steals. Bender is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Smith, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Anthony Wayne's victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.76 points. As for Clay, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anthony Wayne will take on Rogers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rogers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Anthony Wayne is ranked seventh). As for Clay, they will be playing at home against Southview at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
