The Cleveland Central Wolves will challenge the Florence Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cleveland Central comes in on six and Florence on five.
Cleveland Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Vicksburg on Thursday as they made off with a 21-1 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine runs or more this season.
Ava Morgan made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cleveland Central got a massive performance out of Taliyah Thomas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Thomas has posted since back in March of 2025. Jaida Williams was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Cleveland Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .788. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vicksburg only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Florence beat Pisgah 6-3 on Friday.
Florence also got a great performance from Cameron Roberts as she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.
At the plate, Callie Anderson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaid Jackson, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
The victory got Florence back to even at 8-8. As for Cleveland Central, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cleveland Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .580. However, it's not like Florence struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cleveland Central came up short against Florence in their previous matchup back in April of 2017, falling 7-2. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
