They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Greenleaf Friends Academy 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Idaho City has posted against the Grizzlies since December 20, 2019.
It was another big night for Logan Watson, who scored 32 points along with four blocks. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Idaho City's points. Another player making a difference was Damien Morrison, who scored four points along with six assists.
Idaho City's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Idaho City will face off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial Baptist is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Idaho (Rimrock is ranked 141st, while the Grizzlies are ranked 152nd).
