The Marion Warriors lost to the Sedgwick Cardinals back in January of 2023, but the Marion Warriors didn't allow the Sedgwick Cardinals the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Marion took down the Cardinals 51-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marion.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Hett, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Wesner, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Marion is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Sedgwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9-2.
Marion will head out on the road to square off against the Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sterling is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Sedgwick will take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bennington and the Cardinals are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
