Sandhills Classical Christian is 1-6 against Christ the Cornerstone Academy since August of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lions will head out to take on the Defenders at 4:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

While Christ the Cornerstone Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mintz Christian Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-18.
Sandhills Classical Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 10-6.
Sandhills Classical Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Christ the Cornerstone Academy in their previous meeting last Monday, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
