Softball Recap: Neumann Has No Trouble Against Seacrest Country Day

Neumann made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Seacrest Country Day, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Neumann was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Seacrest Country Day on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Celtics, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cecilia Spencer was a standout: she scored four runs while going 2-for-3. Ellie Raiger also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Neumann was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seacrest Country Day only posted a batting average of .300.

Neumann is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.29 hits in those games compared to only five in the others. Seacrest Country Day's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.
