Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Linn). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Ida B. Wells Guardians on Thursday. Considering the Lions have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for West Linn and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Ida B. Wells, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Linn will face off against South Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ida B. Wells, they will take on Tualatin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Timberwolves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Guardians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
