Coolidge found their leader in underclassman Alaysia White, who dropped a triple-double on 32 points, 13 rebounds, and 17 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which White has scored at least a third of Coolidge's points. Another player making a difference was Naylissa Charles, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Valley Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 48-28 margin over Gilbert Christian. Given Valley Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Knights are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Coolidge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Valley Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.
