Baseball Recap: Imagine School at North Port Takes a Loss

If Imagine School at North Port was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Sarasota Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Imagine School at North Port Sharks fell just short of the Cardinal Mooney Cougars by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Imagine School at North Port saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Boggess, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Boggess has posted since back in April of 2024. Chase Sivulich also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Imagine School at North Port's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cardinal Mooney, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Imagine School at North Port will take on Port Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Port Charlotte's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Imagine School at North Port's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cardinal Mooney, they will face off against IMG Academy White at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
