Mount Airy scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 53-45 to the Reagan Raiders. The Granite Bears haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Grace Galyon continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Reagan, going 9 for 14 on her way to 22 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alissa Young, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.
Mount Airy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Reagan, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Airy and West Stokes will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Reagan, they will face off against North Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. North Surry will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Reagan surely won't give up without a fight.
