Basketball Game Preview: Blair County Christian Bobcats vs. Clearfield Alliance Christian

The Blair County Christian Bobcats will head out to face off against Clearfield Alliance Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blair County Christian has three straight victories, Clearfield Alliance Christian has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Blair County Christian played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They blew past Johnstown Christian 47-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bobcats have posted since November 25, 2024.

Jonathan Marucci and Braxton Walter were among the main playmakers for Blair County Christian as the former dropped a double-double on 13 points and 20 rebounds and the latter went 7 of 15 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, Marucci is now averaging an impressive 9 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidyn Lundy, who posted five points along with 13 boards and five assists.

Blair County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-26, which was the final score in Clearfield Alliance Christian's tilt against Johnstown Christian on Tuesday.

Blair County Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Clearfield Alliance Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Blair County Christian took their win against Clearfield Alliance Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 65-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blair County Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
