The Chamberlain Cubs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Wall 68-28. Chamberlain has not had much luck with Wall recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Wall had a senior duo take command as Nora Dinger scored 18 points along with five assists and five steals and Rhea Tucker dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Tucker has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Kjerstad, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.
Chamberlain's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.7 points per game. As for Wall, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Chamberlain will head out on the road to square off against Miller at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Miller is ranked 50th, while Chamberlain is ranked 56th). As for Wall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Philip at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Philip is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
