Creyton Roup Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Mound City's Creyton Roup, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Roup rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. Corbyn Jakub was instrumental in extending Rock Port's winning streak to eight on Friday. Jakub did his part (and then some), rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 101 yards on five of 14 attempts for the 'W'.
On the season, Jakub has averaged 119.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.
