The Glen Allen Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Dinwiddie Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Glen Allen and Deep Run meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Jaguars' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 7-0 shutout.

Jaidyn Tillman
05/02/25 @ Deep Run | 11 |
04/30/25 @ Atlee | 8 |
04/28/25 vs Matoaca | 16 |
The result came thanks to Jaidyn Tillman's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Glen Allen let Ashton Limbach and Alison Via run wild. Limbach got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Via went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Limbach a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Hueston, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Dinwiddie had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Blue Devils. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Generals considering their one-run performance the game before.
Addison Everett made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Everett was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kailie Bookman was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Addison Williams also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Dinwiddie pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Glen Allen, their record is now 10-3.
Dinwiddie's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Glen Allen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Dinwiddie, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Glen Allen keep running through batters, or will the Generals buck the trend?
Glen Allen suffered a grim 13-7 defeat to Dinwiddie when the teams last played back in March of 2018. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
