The Cicero Prep Academy Centurions lost against the Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cicero Prep Academy took a serious blow against Dishchii'bikoh, falling 53-8.
Cicero Prep Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Catherine Johnson and Maggie Hooppaw. Johnson scored two points along with 12 rebounds, while Hooppaw scored three points along with six rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Cicero Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dishchii'bikoh, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Cicero Prep Academy and Santa Cruz Valley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Santa Cruz Valley is ranked 275th, while Cicero Prep Academy is ranked 255th). Dishchii'bikoh will be home for the holidays to greet Mogollon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Mogollon is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
