Even though the Oscar Smith Tigers scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, the Hampton Crabbers still came out on top. Hampton managed a 65-60 win over Oscar Smith. This was payback for Hampton, who suffered a 49-45 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Malik Johnson, who scored 21 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Daron Baugh, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Hampton's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Oscar Smith, their loss dropped their record down to 9-1.
Hampton will be playing at home against Gloucester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gloucester comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Oscar Smith, they will head out on the road to take on Dinwiddie at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
