There's no place like home for the Hope Academy Trojan Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They strolled past Vine Christian Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 70-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hope Academy found their leader in underclassman Dwayne Foreman III, who scored 36 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Foreman III has scored at least a third of Hope Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Boyer, who scored ten points.
Hope Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for Vine Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hope Academy will take on Nazaret Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vine Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on The Rock at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rock has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
