In other batting news, Sophie Swanson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ayannah Jackson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Lakeville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clare.
Lakeville's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Goodrich, their win bumped their record up to 24-8.
